Had a need for some birthday cards, so I used my new stack from Joanns (Cheekee Monkey)!  Lots of really cute 12 x 12 cardstock in this stack.

Black faux velvet - bought at JoAnn

Black Glitter cardstock - from stash

Standard black textured card stock from Paper Studio

Used the following:

For the card base -- DavidTutera's A2 Cards in cream

For the mat I used black scraps from my stash, some are basic textured card stock, some faux velvet and I had two 12x12 sheets of black glitter all cut at 5 1/4" x 4".

The cuts were done using gold sheets from DCWV Mattalic Stack (cut at 3" or a little larger on some)

For the star I used some bling from Michales



Birthday Card for Rusty's 9th

Used Spaceship Party cartridge set at 3".   Black detail and number cut out of Post-It adhesive craft paper.

Speedy Recovery Froggie

A very dear friend's husband is recovering from a heart attack, I hope this card will help cheer him up some.

The inspiration for this card came from a YouTube tutorial by Mary at TV Crafts (I think that is the correct site).  After going to YouTube for inspiration one of the blogs I follow had a good number of easle cards --think it was Paper Playtime.  Let me tell you, they were all totally awesome!!!!!

Quick BD Cards

When in a hurry, I sometimes (lots of times) resort to using pre-made embellishments.  Used the C2 for the sentiment and Elegant Edges for the backing.  Paper from stash.
